Following the success of the wildly popular Bang Bang Byron Bay, the team has ventured up the north coast, opening their sister restaurant on the prestigious Hastings Street in Noosa. Although both restaurants are situated in arguably some of Australia’s most stunning beachside locations, they don’t feel like your typical coastal eatery. Instead of white-washed timbers and a pale colour palette, Bang Bang has favoured an earthier, moody vibe. Surrounded by tropical greenery, Bang Bang is an oasis for the senses.

The finishes were kept simple and minimal, and repeated throughout the space to achieve consistency. Hero finishes such as marble stone tabletops in blush tones, sumptuous brown leather seating, and walnut timber have been repeated throughout the space to achieve consistency. Radiant, old-fashioned rock crystal chandeliers hang from the ceiling. These vintage elements are beautifully juxtaposed with custom-rendered walls that appear worn and weathered. These contrasting styles create a beautiful visual marriage. The pared-back colour palette and finishes allow for the phenomenal food and drinks to take centre stage.

At Bang Bang, everything is theatre.

From Hastings St, passersby can witness the spectacle of the bartenders mixing fabulous cocktails whilst patrons are seated around the bar. Inside, frosted glass allows guests to see the waitstaff and all the action in the kitchen, creating an interactive and transparent experience.

Bang Bang has a fantastic cocktail menu, so the bar design has been central to the fitout and is a focal point of the restaurant. The full-height walnut back bar stocked full of product is dramatic and draws people in straight away.

Booth seating was utilised throughout the space to match Bang Bang’s customer style and relaxed vibe. The cuisine and dining style lends itself to larger group bookings, so booth seating allows patrons a more intimate and communal experience and encourages conversation.
